documents with DocControl.

One
of the chief responsibilities of Telekom
CSD is to record,
distribute and maintain sensitive strategy department documents. Most of
these documents are prepared using MS Office software and do not need
conversion. However, Telekom
CSD wanted an extensive list of index fields to record each document’s
profiles in detail. This was possible as the volume of documents was not
high. They also wanted an efficient and timely method for retrieval by
content searching, plus the ability to keep scanned news articles and
clippings.

DocControl Solution
The DocControl system was customized to extend the
list of available index profiles to meet Telekom CSD’s needs. Document
security was easily achieved by the standard access & permission
rights settings available in DocControl. Besides viewing rights, Telekom
CSD can even set indexing, print, copy and email rights to prevent
unwanted or accidental release of sensitive information by unauthorized
users. As for news clips and articles, DocControl already handles
document images in all popular image formats and comes with a powerful
built-in viewer.
